We chose aspen tongue and groove wood for our cathedral ceilings.
All of our other ceilings are finished with 5/8 Sheetrock, we felt like the aspen wood would be perfect for the cathedral ceiling areas, which is living room, dining room and kitchen.
Every 8′ which is where all the butt joints meet, will be exposed beams over the top of the aspen wood. These beams will be beefy looking with a measurement of 6″x 6″ which should really compliment the aspen wood.
