I wanted to share more on our cabin Addition Project using all free cabin materials.
Using the free 12’x20′ shed my wife got for us, this project is fun and cheap to build. We’ve spent some money for gravel, but that is it up to this point. We will insulate this cabin, so that will be another expense, but not a huge one.
Using these free cabin materials is allowing us to build a much larger, more useful cabin for near to nothing. Just like this free shed and all the lumber and materials we gathered from the tornado several months ago, we have lots of materials right here on site.
Free Cabin Materials Keeps Money In The Bank
Any time you don’t have to spend money, it keeps your money in the bank. So in my book, free cabin materials and anything else you can gather for free is money in the bank. Keep your eyes and ears open at all times for lumber, building materials and anything else that would be of good use to you and your projects.
Today my wife Rhonda scored again by finding new, free shingles for our cabin roof. The opportunity’s and items will show up if you are looking for them. Maybe not right away, but eventually they will…at the right time.

When this cabin is finished it will be 12’x32′ total. It will also have smart siding on the entire cabin so that it all matches. The finish color is undecided at this point, but that will come to us as we get closer to the finished product.
We are still looking for more free cabin materials. Things like; roofing paper/tar paper, more shingles, OSB plywood, 20′ 2×6, smart siding, insulation and a few other interior items.
We know these other Needed items will come to us as we get closer to needing them. Keep checking back with this blog for more pictures, videos and project updates.
