Pasture Mowing – Kubota M7060…

Yesterday afternoon late and again today I was able to finally get some pasture mowing completed.

After all the rain we’ve had over the last few weeks it has made it impossible to do much pasture Mowing or any field work.

Pasture Mowing With Kubota M7060

Pasture MowingThis is one of our fields that we like to keep mowed down nicely so that when people drive into Pin Oaks Farm they see beauty instead of weeds and brush. As you can see in the far distance we have blue spruce trees 🌲 for 1/4 mile along our front fence next to the gravel road and entrance. These trees are a thing of beauty, and especially when everything is mowed and groomed nicely.

Pasture Mowing is something that I enjoy, especially now that we have a much better tractor to run this 10′ brush cutter. Our new Kubota M7060 at 71hp doesn’t have a bit of trouble with this mower.

Tomorrow I will also be doing more pasture mowing, but not here at Pin Oaks Farm. My lawn care service (SmithvilleLawnCare.com) and Trimble Lawn Care will be at the Five Corners Area by the Smithville Lake mowing large 3-4 acre yards that once was pastures. These large lots I use my Scag Zero Turn mower on so that they look super nice when finished. This is the same thing we do here on our place with once small section of the pasture shown above. After getting the brush cutter over it many times last year, we now use the zero turn mower on it for a better, more groomed look…like a yard.

As soon as our back field dry out a little more we will be running the disk over them to follow up with the sweet corn 🌽 planter. Over the next few weeks we will also be preparing to plant our pumpkin πŸŽƒ patch so that we will have a large amount of pumpkins to sell this fall.

We will keep you posted on the planting and other projects we have in the works.

Always do your best,

Mike Pilcher
