Final Day of Old Barn Tear Down – Barn Wood…

Share This Post With A Friend

The final day of old barn tear down has finally came and gone. This old barn was a blessing to us in many ways.

One being, the good wood and tin that has allowed us to turn our cabin into exactly what we was wanting. The other, was the experience it gave us. This barn tear down was a big job, and at many times a bit overwhelming, but all in all it was fun…and one heck of a good workout.

See pictures below of the large, deep holes I dug with our Kubota 7060 loader tractor for removing, (or attempting to remove) the center foundation of this early 1900’s old barn.

You can see in these pictures how deep and thick this old cement/rock foundation was. Removing all of this with my equipment was nearly impossible. However, it is going to be a cattle barn lot, so I don’t think the cows, or chickens will mind some cement under the dirt. Lol
