Thank God for our backup generator when the power went out today in this crazy snow storm.
What a familiar feeling it was to being back to off grid living again. Not long ago, our only source of electricity was with generators and battery banks.

Several of the major roads around us have been shut down due to dangerous conditions. At&t cell phone service has even been very poor today.
Below is a picture of our backup Generator and the additional breaker box I built for safety reasons.
This 3300 watt generac generator was a real life saver today. Well below freezing temperatures and extreme wind chills, this generator allowed us to have the blowers running on the shop wood stove for full heat, have lights, keep refrigerator and freezer running, and have camper heaters running.
