I shot a Tornado Cleanup Video Update today to share some of the progress of the overwhelming debris.
You will see in this video how I am cleaning out this Fence row from debris from the storm, but also removing all of the trees from the old fence. This fence was literally destroyed from the Morton barn going through it as well as the pontoon and other trailers, etc.
Tornado Cleanup Video Update
These pictures below will also share some before and after pictures of this same fence row. Even though I am not finished with this project, I wanted to give you a quick update on the Tornado Cleanup progress…
In these pictures you will see what I called the “vine tree”. This big ugly tree had vines wrapped all around it. i have never seen a tree so wrapped up in vines. Of course the vines were all over the road banks and growing in the fence as well. This was a woven wire fence, so needless to say the vines had taken over this fence.
Notice in the second picture below you will see the “vine tree” is now on the ground. I have left these pictures linked so that you can click on them and open them for larger viewing. Just remember to use the “Back Button” to return to this blog post…
I only have a few large trees left to remove and then I will remove the old destroyed fence and post. Once I remove the old fence I will immediately start installing the new fence. The new fence will keep this property secure and private. Not only will it be secure and private, but it will also look nice!
How To Remove Vine Roots and Prevent Their Return
I will more than likely use a disk and ripper to rip up the road back to get rid of the in grown vines and roots. Then I will spray as needed to kill off the vines and roots. This will help prevent this unwanted stuff from growing back. After the spray has been applied and left for at least 30 days, then I will grass seed. Once we have a new stand of grass this property will look even nicer than before.
A new Morton Barn will be coming to this property soon, so getting the new fence installed is important.
Hopefully you can get a better idea with this Tornado Cleanup Video Update? I am sure the pictures will also give you a better idea of the extensive cleanup this really is.
