The mums and pumpkins are planted and growing like crazy with all this rain. And of course the grass is growing at a record rate and it is impossible to mow right now with all the rain and soft ground.
We’ve planted more varieties of pumpkins than in the past and have also planted all the mums we could get ahold of. The suppliers cut us and others way short due to lack of supplies and lack of help. Apparently it is extremely hard to find help because of the high numbers unemployment pays out, and as a result most people would rather sit at home and not work to collect this ridiculously high unemployment money. Not very ethical to think the way these people think, but hey, this is the way the world has shifted. Thanks Biden and company.
Remember one thing, by coming to our farm to get your mums and pumpkins will always be cheaper for you than if we are at an event, like Junkville in Smithville, or at Weston events. It cost a great deal to haul this stuff around with the prices of fuel, not to mention all the extra work that is involved.
Keep an eye on this website as well as our Facebook page for updates and fall opening dates.
