In this post I am sharing some early stage pictures of a barn wood table I’m building.
This barn wood table is 100% from an early 1900’s barn that I’m tearing down. I still have to true up some edges and then do some light sanding.
Barn Wood Table
Many people prefer the rough look (the rustic look) to showcase the true character of this 100 year old wood. Others prefer to have the smooth finished look and then multiple coats of polyurethane sprayed over it.
Myself, I love the old rustic look, just as it was in the early 1900’s. A person could polyurethane just the top, or so the entire piece. Of course, you could also add some stain and then polyurethane it too. All personal preference, and of course, where it will be placed when finished.
Check out these early stage photos below…
We are taking some orders on smaller projects like this table and some of the signs seen in the background.
If you are wanting something done by Christmas, then get ahold of us ASAP so we can get it started and finished. Right now we still have barn wood and pallet wood left, and time before Christmas to get your project finished.
Check out the barn wood doors in the background of these pictures, as well as the pallet signs and shelves.
Always do your best,
-Mike
