Since then I haven’t done a video to share yet because I still haven’t figured out what the problem actually is with this Dometic refrigerator.
This refrigerator works absolutely perfect on propane, but not when you switch it over to electric. As mentioned in the previous blog post this all just happened overnight. With all of the testing I have done it leads to the power board located behind the refrigerator. This board seems to be the problem, but I do not want to just start throwing parts at it until I know for sure.
The odd thing is; last month we had serious electrical issues and I ended up having to take it in to Camping World in Grain Valley MO for the warranty work to be done. They replaced the incoming power cord and the 50 amp box that it twist locks into and our big TV. This process should have taken approximately 6-8 hours which in all truth it probably did, but instead they had our fifth wheel (our home) for over 2 weeks. The bad part of this is not all the expense that we out for living and travel expenses while they had our home tied up. Instead, it was the fact that Camping World in Grain Valley MO allowed our home to freeze up and bust everything and act like it was no big deal.
Yep, they let it freeze up and bust everything. Why do I mention this? Because they gave us the cold shoulder and told me it was our fault and they refused to do anything about it. However, after a in person conversation with the service manager and letting him know I would take action, he did give me “some” of the parts needed to help with repairs. We are still owed a microwave, stereo system and water filtration system canister and filter, but haven’t heard a word from them since before Christmas.
Since then we have had so many problems. We have had to fix all of these ourselves out of our own pocket. Just like this refrigerator deal and it not working on electric. Guess what? I truly believe this is another problem just now showing up weeks later after the original electrical issue. Of course this was the reason it went into Camping World in Grain Valley MO for in the first place.
So what is the Dometic refrigerator update?
As I have shared in the blog post above here, everything that I have tested all leads to the main refrigerator board. Now I am almost positive that this is just something else that got hurt with the first electrical issue. I will get a video out as soon as possible, and as soon as I have fixed the problem. This way I can share a better dometic refrigerator update with you and how to actually fix the problem.

Feel free to leave your comments below. Maybe you know of someone around, some (good shop) that I could transfer my warranty over to? If so, please let me know below. I will NEVER use Camping World in Grain Valley MO again. Their service department lacks integrity and responsibility. Therefore I refuse to allow someone, or some shop to abuse me or my stuff like they have. Keep in mind this fifth wheel (RV) is our full time home until we get our home built here on our off grid property.
This whole ordeal has created huge financial set backs for us and keeps moving the building of our home project back even further. Thank you Camping World in Grain Valley MO.
